A huge day last week completing some reticulation repairs in Marangaroo for Noelene, who needed urgent assistance with her retic system.
Noelene’s job was one of the most complex repairs we have completed all summer, she had recently returned from the Eastern states and was appalled at the state of the irrigation system after the property had been rented out for 4 years, including cut cables scattered throughout the property, nonoperational stations, faulty tap timers – you name it, we fixed it.
All up 5 station solenoids replaced, a wiring kit and a station pro installed, a new Rainbird Pro Tap Timer and over a dozen pop up sprinklers.
Upon arrival we didn’t know where to start, none of the solenoids in the rear of the property had any resistance signal pointing towards the cut cables and the solenoids in the front were all seized shut due to the age of the system. We replaced all 3 station solenoids that ran the front verge lawn and surrounding gardens, and for the rear we had to install a wiring kit add a station to overcome the cut cable issue along with replacing a further two station solenoids with Irritrol 25mm BSP solenoid valves.
We also had to replace the old Orbit tap timer that ran all the vegetable patch gardens down the side of the house with a Rainbird Pro Digital Tap timer, as the original appliance had been destroyed by the conditions.
Noelene wasn’t impressed by the state her gardens had been left in, however she was delighted we were able to assist her with repairing her system back to full capacity.
