Earlier this week we were completing some reticulation repairs in Hamersley for Arnold, who was finding a lot of dead patches on his lawn and poorly performing plants in his garden.
He also noticed that his controller unit was setting the reticulation off at odd days and times that were outside his usual programming.
Upon arrival it was evident that Arnold’s lawn and garden was suffering from poor coverage from the reticulation system due to improper design and the use of cheaper low quality sprinklers and or nozzles.
Ryan’s Reticulation uses the Toro 570 series pop up bodies with set nozzles ranging from 6ft right through to 18ft depending on the circumstances, they are by far the best sprinklers available on the market, and as with anything in life you get what you pay for – they may be a bit more expensive than your local hardware sprinklers but they will outlast them tenfold.
Throughout the lawn and garden areas we replaced over two dozen with these sprinklers, providing exceptional coverage and consistency.
For the second problem with the system, we noticed Arnolds original reticulation controller – a Rain Master Pro that was over 20 years old, had seen better days and we suggested replacing it with a more durable, reliable controller. As Rainbird preferred installers we replaced the old controller unit with an ESP-TM2 8 station controller.
Upon installing we flushed the entire system and performed a resistance test on all the relevant solenoids along with the master valve to ensure Arnold didn’t have any more surprises with his retic system.
