This week we were completing some reticulation repairs in Stirling for Candace.
Candace initially contacted us requiring a new tap timer, as her old Holman wasn’t operational anymore and she was finding every time she tried to turn it on, nothing would happen.
As a preferred Rainbird installer we suggested the Rainbird Automatic Digital PRO Tap Timer. These tap timers are by far the best of the domestic market at the moment, not only does it have all the reputable Rainbird features, it's also easy to program and operate for the home owner plus allows for 30% better water flow than less reputable tap timers.
Although they are a little bit more expensive than what you would find in your local hardware store, the quality and durability far outweighs having to change over cheaper models every year or having them malfunction in the middle of summer whilst you’re on Christmas holidays!
The tap timer was for a small courtyard at the front of Candace’s property, however she had a controller unit system for the rest of the property and couldn’t operate one particular station for the back lawn.
We noticed that there wasn’t any resistance present at the coil from the controller and noted that the coil on the valve itself did have resistance concluding there was a cut or corroded cable somewhere. We installed what’s called a wiring Kit Add a Station – basically turning one active wire into two separate stations.
Candace was delighted with the work completed and was amazed at how we managed to repair her reticulation so efficiently.
