We were recently contacted by Kimberly who required some urgent reticulation repairs in Landsdale.
Upon arrival the next day we discovered Kim’s reticulation system was continuously running and wouldn’t shut off unless it was turned off at the water meter. Not an ideal situation when you have 3 little kids and need to have a shower or wash the dishes!
This is quite a common occurrence with older reticulation set ups or systems that haven’t been installed up to standard, with improper mains water cut ins or cheap master valves utilised. However with this particular system it was an outdated controller unit that had a failure in the main valve circuit, telling the system to keep on running constantly!
We replaced Kim’s old Holman with a Rainbird TM2. These durable and easy to operate controllers are hard to beat with a 3 year warranty, along with a resistance check of all her solenoids – we don’t want the same thing to happen anytime soon!
A few other minor repairs to her system including some pop up sprinklers in the front lawn and a couple of garden bed risers for adequate coverage will see Kim not have to touch her reticulation system for years to come.
